    High mash temp for IIPA.

    Today I mashed the tits up recipe at a temp of 160 for 90 min not on purpose of course I just didn't pay close enough attention to my strike temp before I put it in.     Yeast amounts?

    Can you have so much washed yeast in a 16 oz mason jar, in my case half of the mason jar full of yeast, you don't need to do a starter? Could I just take them out on brew day let them rise to temp shake and pitch?

    Washing yeast first attempt.

    Just washed yeast for the first time. Liquid whitelabs 0001 California ale yeast. I used to ferment a black IPA. I let it settle out for 30 min and it appears to be all one brown layer with and obvious small layer of beer on top. Is this healthy looking yeast?
