    Brew room

I am going to turn this into a brew room. Im thinking rub er floor like for a workout room, hooking the sink where the hot tub is, and a brewing tier, though a stove would rock too. Im currently using the keezer for a fermentation chamber. How many of you have remodeled brew rooms? Can I see...

    Finally!!

I have not brewed in a year! I found a brew shop near me and decided, its about time, and went in for some small stuff and walked out with a recipe. I got the Rogue Hazlenut Brown Ale clone in partial mash. I got it with extract, but was curious if I were to use actual hazlenuts, how much...

    Is it ruined?

My beer was supposed to be 7% abv. Well when it was fermenting my FIL turned the temp WAY down, so my husband turned the space heater on it WAY up. I stirred it lightly and took the gravity at 4%abv on the 8th day. Its sitting in the secondary in a makeshift fermentation chamber (unplugged...

How home made is your homebrew?

Im looking into growing barley and hops, and want to learn how to make yeast starters. I also need to get a grain mill and make a fermentation chamber. Right now Im doing partial mash, but I want to go deeper. Much deeper into the process. Does anyone else go THAT far? How far do you go? If you...

So I went to Miller Farms yesterday and got some pumpkins. How should I prep them for pumpkin beer? Also, would adding pumpkin to a pale ale work in general?

    Bottle exchange?

Has anyone ever been to a bottle exchange? I have heard of them and would love to go to one. I have a friend who is starting to get into the beer world with me, and I think if there is one someone knows about, or would like to start one, it would be a great way to meet each other and try some...

Here's the plan. I want to have 6 different beers to give as a six pack for my friends and family for the holidays. I have an amber ale (bottled), an agave wheat with lime (in secondary), a milk chocolate stout (brewing as I type), an apple pie stout (next week project), and a pumpkin ale (after...

    So Excited

Today I am going to my local home brew shop for a seminar on all grain brewing. Then later I get to come home and bottle my first batch of a red ale. Then tomorrow I get to brew a milk chocolate stout. Score! Lets just hope this state wide flooding keeps away from me. When the floods started, I...

I have what looks like possible air bubbles on my brew in the secondary. Will it be ok? This is my first brew, ever. Its a red ale and I have fine everything by the book. Could it be from siphoning it into the carboy?

    gluten free mcgee with ginger?

I want to make a gluten free for my mom to try. I found a recipe on brew friend.com and I found gluten free mcgee. I was wondering could I add ginger, and if so when and how would I incorperate it? Would a ginger and lemon be better?

    Newbie

Hi. I'm new to brewing at home and I'm really excited to get going. I brewed my first batch today and its now fermenting. My plan is to take it step by step and start off slow to get the best all around understanding of brewing beer. I'm open to any tips and input.
