Corny keg almost empty but won't pour

So OP, did you ever figure out what the issue was?

    burner advice

No doubt the Blichmann is the Cadillac, but the Edelmetall is not far behind. And when you find it for 20% off, which is on a fairly regular basis, it's hard to beat. I've been very happy with mine.

    New from Chattanooga

Welcome to the forum and to your new obsession! Every brewing experience good or bad adds to the knowledge you'll accumulate and the home brewer that you will become (which is a never ending process). Read and absorb as much as you can but the best teacher is to do what you did yesterday...

Corny keg almost empty but won't pour

If when you try to pour you get nothing but gas/CO2 coming out, you have a dip tube problem. It's either too short or it's bent and not centered in the convex bottom of the keg. If you get no gas or nothing at all, you have a clog somewhere, assuming the CO2 is freely flowing into the keg and...

New regulator might be busted, cranking it up

3 weeks to carb a beer at serving pressure is a bit long but not completely unheard of. But if the beer has been chilled to serving temp for that 3 weeks and it's still not fully carb'ed by then, there may be something that's not quite right. You do have all the right outlet valves (regulator &...

    Dip tube diffusing stone

Ok I see. You were inquiring about serving pressure and not serving through the diffusion dip tube... The diffusion stone will certainly add resistance to the CO2 flow into the keg and require more pressure at your regulator to reach the same level of carbonation. I'm sure there is a chart or...

    Dip tube diffusing stone

I've never heard of a diffusion stone for serving. Only for oxygenating wort prior to fermenting or carbonating beer once in the keg. I don't think you'd get enough volume flow through the .5 micron holes to leave it on for serving. And it would get clogged up very easily. But will see what...

    Keezer build questions

Thanks. I think I could have attached the wood top directly to the freezer hinges (or the freezer top itself) but I didn't for two reasons. 1 - The freezer hinges are not the most robust and the new top is fairly heavy with the ceramic tile. 2 - I added a false bottom that raises the kegs up...

    Keezer build questions

I've not had any significant condensation issues with my coffin top. Air circulation within AND not opening and closing any more than necessary is the key. Igloo 5.1cf freezer and I can fit a 4th keg on the hump. Bev-Seal Ultra beer lines with Perlick Flow Control faucets so don't have to be...

Dip tube stuck in liquid out post. Help?

I understand the desire to get a new toy up and running... But if you start using vise grips or a bench vise to get the dip tube out, you may crush/bend it or damage the post. Then you're hosed with trying to get a return or exchange from the vendor if you're unable to resolve the issue. Also...

Keezer Build - Tips and Lessons Learned

I tried using a bilge fan initially but they run at too high an RPM and was annoyingly loud. I switched it out for 4in in line duct fans and added a reostat so I could control the speed. I have a coffin top keezer so I leave my fans on 24x7 in order to keep the coffin top at a consent temp.
