I've done my last 9 or 10 batches basically with out Star-San. I do BIAB in an electric kettle and ferment in an SS Brewtech Brew Bucket. While I'm mashing I clean the brew bucket with oxy clean and rinse it. Then when I get close to the end of my boil I put my IC in the boiling wort to clean...
I guess I was wrong. When I started brewing 15 or so years ago most people just dumped the dry yeast in. I have been happy with my beers that I used dry yeast on but will re hydrate from now on.
