    Hello I think i just calculated my MT dead space...I took the advice of someone on this forum and filled my MT then drained it...i was left with 1/2 gallon of water..thats my dead space right? If so i am gonna enter that into my beersmith equipment profile..

    yeast starter cooling question

    Hello everyone I am about to make a 1 liter starter..recipe is 32 oz bottled spring water to 4 oz of DME question is can i boil only half the water volume with the 4oz of DME and use the other half to cool it? Do i need to boil bottled water to sanitize it or is it already good to go?

    Hello Do you think purging secondary/bottles with co2 will protect the beer and give it a longer shelflife? I know the when you add your beer to the secondary/ or bottling you risk oxidation..So this should fix that problem..Is this a popular practice? what do yall think?
