What style would this classify as

Thank you for your thoughts. I was leaning towards a dunked also. Just trying to find something close to get feedback. It has a good malty backbone and has a bit of sweetness but finishes dry. i attached pic of recipe. I used Bavarian lager yeast.

What style would this classify as

Hi All, I brewed up a beer awhile back, and didn’t know my software was pulling in brewers association guidelines as well as BJCP. Now I want to enter this beer but not sure where it would fall with 2021 BJCP. What would you classify this as? thank you!

    American Light Lager Water Profile

Hello all, I am attempting my first light lager this weekend. I am also learning Bru n water as well as I have been having some issues with my software getting my ph where I want. Below is what i am working with. I use all RO water. I am not sure if I should worry about the Bicarbonate...

    Minerals in water

Thank you. Funny, I did a search on this also and found your post from last year. Lots of good stuff even with some of it over my head right now. Lol. Just use it to test TDS and if under 10ppm just go with it. 😀

    Minerals in water

Never heard of one of these. Will look into it. Do you have one that you would recommend?

    Minerals in water

Hello All, Hope this is in the correct forum. I have been a fan of using either distilled or RO water for my brews. My water here is just no good and even had it tested by ward labs. The magnesium is very high. It hasn’t been to much of a pain only needing 8 gallons or so. I am in the...

    My First IPA

Thanks for the info. I like your idea of really upping the dry hop so will take a look at doing that. I might increase the amount of hops too instead of increasing the time just to see what kind of bitterness it brings.

    My First IPA

Hello all, Looking for some feedback on my IPA. Looking at trying something a bit different after some reading on hops during boil. Looking at the bittering hop at 30 to provide more of a smooth bite than a heavier bite at 60 mins. Then all hops at whirlpool and dry hop for flavor and aroma...

    Open Transfer from Conical

Hello All, So I have my first brew carbonating in my new conical. I thought I would do a closed pressure transfer when it was done carbing. I now noticed I do not have the right size TC Barb fitting. I ordered one in hopes it would be here pretty quick but may not be here before the weekend...

    What a brew day! Not!

Thanks for all the info. As of today it looks like it has started to ferment. I see bubbles in the airlock and my Tilt is showing gravity has already dropped 5 points. I will let it ride and see how it goes. And yes, definitely working on equipment setup. Now have cam locks on everything...

    Get Rid of Thermometer?

Hello All, I have the 10 gallon kettle from spike (love it) that has the two ports at the bottom. One has the ball valve and the other has the thermometer. I was thinking of ditching the thermometer to avoid a possible bag tear and was thinking of putting another ball valve there so I could...

First Two Brews on the new eBIAB System

I use brew father also (love it!!) and have found my efficiency went up after some advice to squeeze the bag like your life depended on it. Also I use these numbers for my grain absorption that another member advised to try and my numbers have been very good last to brews.

    What a brew day! Not!

Man, it was one of those kind of days! So this is only my second brew day with some new equipment (pump, conical, glycol chiller). I had a good brew day Sunday and felt confident going in. First 15 mins of the mash was fine then temp dropped to 142 from 150, got it back up quick and then...

    Decisions on Glyco Chiller

Nice setup!! I am just down the road in Boerne so temps in my garage will be similar. Glad to know things should be ok as long as just cold crashing one at a time which should not be a problem.
