Silicone house caulk is not safe but you can buy food grade silicone caulk. The food grade silicone spray I have smells really chemically. I have a new China keg and the o ring it came with was silicone and very nice compared to the common ones. I think silicone is silicone in tubing or Oring form

I never noticed any off flavors but I feel like I remember how basically odorless mine was when I got it. If you have ever had a new memory foam pillow or mattress would you compare the smell to that because that is strong but it airs out over time until it's gone.

Hops direct ships fed ex which is expensive, YVH is flat rate so 4 lb of hops can be $7. Fed ex starts at $13 I think for anything.

I had a variety pack IPA beer by Sierra Nevada and the all dwarf hop on was my favorite. I recommend buying that deal and using them combined in beer.

You can get 300 micron stainless steel filter things for this but yeah what you are asking about can cause real problems. SS filter is probably easiest, I saw them on Amazon cheap.

Is this stuff safe to use? Everything I find online says it gets filtered out. I have some I have never used and just want to know if anybody uses it like gelatin without getting sick having bad results or dying.

What I'm suggesting is that if you feel like the next morning after drinking many shortly after 1 or 2 then something is wrong. IDK lager yeast but warm temps does it.
