Ok. So I tried with the mega. Also didn't work. Same behavior as with the ESP32. Brundog, to do this, I had to look for an available pin on the mega to create a new PWM element. My only available pin with this capability was 10. According to the wiring map, with a serial connection, PWM should...

Oh, that was using the ESP32 not the MEGA. Not sure that makes a difference.

I tried this just now and it does not work. Setting the output to anything but 0 would make the servo rotate by a few degrees, seemingly independent of the set value, and keep buzzing until value set back to 0, at which point it would return to original position and stop buzzing.

So... Feature request? [emoji6]

We'll, I had originally assumed it would, which is why I asked the question in the first place. Here's what I know about RC servos: they use a PWM signal at 50 Hz. The width of the pulse itself usually varies from 1-2ms. The PWM output from a MEGA/BC is 1000 Hz according to the wiring map...

How would one use a servo with BC? Connect the signal wire of the servo to a PWM output? Are there hardware considerations? I thought I read some may be 500 vs 1000 Hz? What about a continuous rotation servo?

For Tilt users, I just bought this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07VNF9ZST/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 The 3d antenna seems much more effective than what I had before. I didn't do a range test, but It picks up both my Tilts in Corny kegs easily from anywhere inside...

If you figure out how to do this with ESP32 please report back. I ferment in kegs and the signal is very weak... With the ESP32 sitting on top of the keg it generally works but it's finicky... I get signal drops. I'd love to be able to get a more reliable signal but I don't know how to do this.

Obviously I don't know what I'm talking about... Is there not a way to use the pi or some other device that had a better antenna and use that to output some analog or digital signal that the mega could interpret? Forgive me if that doesn't make any sense...

I like the idea of more sensitive antenna (obviously because my other devices work, a more sensitive antenna could work). Are there ESP32 boards with better antennas? or boards to which I can plug in an external antenna? I'll look into, but I'm skeptical of my ability to hack into this board...

The above is a reasonable plan. Here's a challenge I'm facing now. I bought the HiLetgo ESP32 that others have discussed in this thread and set it up yesterday. My challenge is that it is struggling to get the signal from the Tilts. I now ferment under pressure in kegs. Obviously the BT signal...
