    Maple syrup cider

    Well Maple season is just about to start, and I think im going to attempt to make some sort of cider/ale. I plan evaporating 20 gal of sap down to 5 gal and put my cider yeast maybe a little cinnamon or fresh apples. Has anyone tried doing this.it may have a good kick since the sugar will be high.

    Well I ended up boiling for 60 min total , the gravity is right on the money, im just waiting it to cool to 70 deg tp add the yeast

    So i just added my fermentables to my boil and the instructions said after 45 min add flavoring hops, well it's been 25 min get back to a boil , should I reset the timer for another 45min?

    Disastrous bottling day

    sounds like a normal day for me, actualy yesterday I bottled my beer and I had it in a keg cooler out side so I decided to transfer to my bottling bucket instead of moving it, and I got about the 2 1/2 gal mark and it started to rain for about 10 sec on me
