    adding diff spices to a stout

    So i have a good base for a stout, hops im using are EKG's, and they are the only ones. and this is a christmassy beer im starting now. so i got some dryed annise, and juniper. i dont know at what time to add them to make this tasty? any recomondations?

    Grainbill, and not that high SG

    Well. so i had a heck of a lot grain to make a belgian strong ale. (18lb) Oddly enough after 90 min mash i did not get the desired OG before boil. Which is kinda odd. Might me my setup is too small for that amount of grains? And how do you guys calc the water loss in grain?

    I think i screwed up boiling

    i got a new induction plate for my BIAB set. And havent used it yet. just the time it took to get it up to 75c i had to add 10 liters of water... After the 60 min boiltime it was not much left. maybe 15 liters. Any recomandations on how to save the worth? If i place the lid on its just a call...

    Strong alc smell from my baby, and still carbonation...

    Well... so its been roughly 6 months now since i started my first mead... and well... the two melomels has still Co2 present, and one of them has a slight "vodka" taste to it. My 3 gla batch of plain mead im going to oak has a strong "vodka" smell to it... and just tastes like bad alcohol...
