    Hanks Hefeweizen question

I'm hoping for some insight. Due to time constraints and the fact that I will be stuck inside at -50 below with wind chill, I decided to brew up a HH kit I got for Christmas from my kids. The problem I see is that I have a beer in my secondary due to come off in three weeks. I would like...

    Experienced brewers....how am I doing?

This is pretty much what I'm doing. I'm not freaking out (yet....lol)....just maintaining my cool about this as I am new to home brewing. I'm confident that everything was done correctly. I guess I just needed that boost of confidence from more experienced brewers like yourself. After my...

    Experienced brewers....how am I doing?

OK...just thought I'd run this past you guys who would know better. I've got a White House Honey Ale going for 4 days now. OG was 1.070 and I just checked it and I'm at 1.025. I noticed that I never saw signs of fermentation bubbling from my blow off tube. This disturbed me a little...

    Whirfloc and other clarifiers

I don't see many posts here on this issue. Maybe some help in deciding to use or not might be in order. For you more experienced brewers, do you use them or not, and if so, under what conditions and for what type of brews? I'm about to make a Honey Ale and I don't know if I should try it.

Holiday Ale - Secondary or Bottle

This same ale is my first attempt at brewing as well. Tomorrow will be a week and I was wondering if I should go to secondary. However, I did strain my wort before going in my primary so I believe for this one, I'll leave it in at least another week and check my readings before deciding to bottle.

    First batch up

Hi, I got my first batch brewing. It's a BB kit of Holiday Ale that should be ready by the third week of December. I brewed it on Thursday of last week and I have to say it's going well. I am glad I did a search and put a blow off tube on the batch. I'm almost afraid of what would have...

    Hello from the Poconos PA.

Welcome from a new guy myself. I live full time now in WI but still get back often to my other home in Pocono Pines. A lifetime resident ("local"), moved from the Poconos 10 years ago. Just couldn't take the rampant growth and the problems that went along with it.

    Here to learn

Well, I brewed up a kit yesterday with help from my wife. I tried a Holiday Ale from Brewer's Best to have ready for Christmas. It went well and I hopefully should see signs of fermentation from the blow off tube sometime very soon! Thanks for the welcome.

    Here to learn

Hi! Totally new at this and I'm slowly building up my equipment and space to make this happen. I figured I needed yet, another little hobby (because I don't have enough already:D) and this seems to be something I would really enjoy. I've been lurking here for two weeks and finally...
