    Thank you

    CP Recipe

I have an extract recipe from CP, that calls for boiling the DME in 1.5 gals water, 45mins. Then add to fermenter and top up to 5 gals. w/cold water. My ? is, could I or should I boil the entire 5 gals in my garage, as I am an all grain brewer and have equip. to do it?

Just in case y'all missed it ,in yesterdays Homebrew news

I see that CP boils his extract recipes w/ 1.5 gal water then racks to fermenter on top of cold water to get his 5 gal batch. If I was going to try one of these recipes, would it be better to boil the entire required water w/the DME or should I just do what CP does?

    Dry Hopping Advice

I'm getting ready to make PTE myself. Read a post that said dump the pellets in for your dry hop. When you rack to the bottle bucket, cover the end of the tubing with a sanitized hop bag. No trub in the bottling bucket.

    Low fermenter volume

Thanx everyone, I'm gonna let it finish and see how it tastes. Thanx again.

    Low fermenter volume

Did my usual water calc. to have 6 gal in fermenter after the boil. It has consistently worked for me. Ended up w/4gal in the fermenter. Way short. Gravity was right on 1.050. Needed to top up to at least 5 gal. Can you make a 1 gal batch of 1.050 wort on the stove w/RO water and some DME to top...

    Primary or Secondary?

Thanx, I'll do that, then I can start the next brew.

    Primary or Secondary?

German wheat almost done with primary fermentation. Gonna cold crash w/isinglass or gelatin. Should I do that in the primary or rack to secondary fermenter?

    Local Water

Local water is supposedly good for beer, but needs the chloramines removed. I believe it's 1 campden tablet to 5 gals-----right.
