    :off:A little off topic, but does it matter if theirs splashing from mash to BK? I see these setup's where someone has their mash elevated with a valve stem with no hose or pipe just aimed over the BK. You guys are great thanks!

    I'm a little confused why some setups have a pot for steeping grains, then move that to another pot for starting wort. The first pot has a false bottom because they dump the grains directly in? vs using a muslin bag? I guess since i'm watching most noob setups, they do all of the above in one pot.

    If a recipe is for 5 gallons. Is their a particular reason why the instructions may only say to boil example 2-3 gal vs the whole 5? Is that because most people wouldn't be able to cook 5 gallons on a stove top? I ask because i saw a comment saying if you can boil more do so. Thanks...
