    BB American Pale Ale - BRY-97 question

    I haven't had time to brew an all grain in a couple of months and my pipeline is empty. I brewed a BB APA yesterday and it came with BRY-97. I have read that it is a notoriously slow starter. I have it in my fermentation chamber set at 62. Is that too cool for this yeast? Thanks!

    yeast packet still viable?

    I made a starter last night for 1335. After I pitched the yeast in the starter, I saw the production date was 9-24-13. Fast forward to this morning, I don't see a change in the starter from last night. I am using a stir plate. Is this packet still viable?

    cider finished - questions

    I am limited in fermenters currently and was wondering if I can add sorbate/sulfite and a clearing agent to my cider that is in the primary fermenter. Is there any reason why not to? Thanks!

    just realized I pitched wrong yeast - will it change the flavor profile?

    I brewed the Tallgrass Buffalo Sweat Stout AG from NB but just realized (4 days into fermentation) that I pitched 1450 - Denny's Favorite instead of 1335 - British Ale II. Kind of bummed but that's the way it goes! Now I just have to create another recipe for the 1335 :)

    best way to clean plate chiller
