Being dragged to an all inclusive wedding in Cancun, and all I will have to wash down the ****ty food is terrible beer.
I thought beer always tastes better when I don't have to pay for it
I should clarify, I payed for the trip.
I love food. Especially authentic Mexican food, the kind I will be unable to get at such a place.
I'll be miles away from slow cooked cow, goat, and pigs with delicious spices being served ground beef and dry chicken smothered in "cheese".
I'll be sorely in need of delicious beers to numb my taste buds and mind.
Iran I heard is not the best for beer. So smile and enjoy Mexico knowing you can be somewhere worse

how are you being dragged then?
Yep, I'd forgo the beer althougher and hit the tequila instead....only way you can come close to making back your money on the all-inclusive affair.
The Caribbean Islands are not much better, but at least the rum drinks are good! Negra Modelo is the only Mexican beer that isn't a corn/rice yellow beer...it's vienna lager. Still not very good, but better than some of the others!

c'mon...do you really need to ask that question.
and to all the liquor suggestions...I no longer drink liquor, and the world is a better place because of it.

Take a daytrip via ADO bus to Playa del Carmen & hit up Club de la Cerveza. Lots of good beer options + you get to escape from the resort for a day

4 minute walk. we are actually in playa. Thanks, I'll be hitting that up.
I don't have any specifics, but John Palmer has been talking about a significant and growing craft beer culture in Mexico. You might try emailing him. It may be that the breweries are in non-tourist cities, though.
