    What are you drinking now?

That looks like a perfect day for some afternoon, oat soda imbibing.

    What are you drinking now?

This afternoon, I'm drinking Bent Paddle's Bent Hop Nitro directly from their taproom.

    What are you drinking now?

Is that one just a straight IPA? A few months back, I had the Patriot, and it was a milkshake IPA that was below average, but I felt it would be better if it were just a normal, no frills IPA. They also make a Russian imperial stout that I sampled at a BJCP sponsored homebrew competition that...

    Strange off flavor

There is definitely a slight light effect altering the color in that picture, but only to a minor degree. The color at the top of the glass is more accurate to the overall color of the beer. Strange off flavor

I just finished my first brew; an imperial blonde ale; and I'm getting some off flavors that I don't recognize. When I poured the first bottle, I got a strong aroma of banana and clove, which I think implies that my fermentation temperature may have been too high. After pouring the bottle, I got...

    Hello from Duluth, MN!

Just joined here after finding this forum in a roundabout way. I'm finishing up my first ever hombrew next Friday; a 5 gallon batch of an imperial blonde ale; and I'm starting my second 5 gallon batch tomorrow! I'm making a generic weizenbier and adding a raspberry puree to the wort before...

    How did you find us?

I was reading a thread on a subreddit about fermentation and somebody ordered oak staves for their vacuum sealed pepper fermentation, and I got curious about using it in a brew. I googled whiskey staves in beer, and found a thread here about somebody doing that exact thing.
