2022 Mexican Cake. As my son said, this is stupid good! Chocolate, vanilla, touch of habanero.

Enjoying this delicious beer from The Veil, Crucial Taunt 4. It’s 🔥🔥🔥
Perfect beer to toast to our cat Jada who crossed the rainbow bridge today. Jada was the first pet my wife and I got together. She’s been with us since our first place together, before we got married and had children. It’s been a rough day but Jada lived a long life, she was 18 years old. Cheers kitty!

Was going to "like" but didn't seem appropriate. My wife and I lost our first pet together about 6 years ago at the age of 10. Peekapoo named Hemi because I'm a car guy and Hemingway is her favorite author

Cheers! I know the feeling. Even 5+ years ago I miss my favorite cat (even after we got three more). She was the best. And was my buddy even before the kids. This one is for Jada!

First pour of the HB Cali Common I kegged a couple of days ago. I ran out of Whirlfloc so it’s going to have to clear via time and gravity. Tastes good, I think. All I can taste now is the difference between sweet, salty, and bitter. I can’t pick out any particular flavors. Oh well, it’s cold and fizzy.

Enjoyed one more beer while prepping a new drink to take on vacation next week & packing.
Slice up some strawberries & jalapeños, let them soak in the limeade for a day or two. Then mix with tequila. Not going to lie, poured some limeade into a glass, put some strawberries & a jalapeño slice in it with tequila for 30-40 minutes. Damn tasty.

Water for now. Took the day off work to brew a lemon and lavender saison. Kids are at school and wife is at work. Just me, my boiling wort, and some 90s music.

Wait, taking a day off to brew?? Brilliant!! 💪

Weekend begins now!

This is a special one for me. Forgot I even had these until the wife complained about them taking up space in her wine fridge! We moved into this house in 2012, so this predates that. Anyway, am pleased to report it has aged amazingly well! It’s actually awesome. Anyone know if Unibroue still brews this?

I think I will sneak this in for Monday's lecture on Art History. See who's paying attention.
