    Leaky keg?

So I went out to my keezer and tried to pour myself a beer…nothing. Ugh. I check the gauge on my co2 tank and I’m out of Co2. I have three kegs and just one of them is no longer pressurized. Can I safely assume the leak in my system is the keg without any pressure ?

    Avoiding oxidation without closed transfer

This morning I tried to do a closed transfer from fermenter to keg but ran into some problems because I don’t have a conical fermenter, I just have a stainless steel flat bottom fermenter. Basically there was too much hop debris and it clogged my ball lock disconnect and tube. If I am going to...

    Old hops

So I made a keg of double sunshine ipa clone that I have made before. When I tried it tonight it really did not have a good hoppy aftertaste and doesn’t have the same smell it normally does. I believe this maybe due to old hops. Can I add in some new dry hops to enhance the taste at this point...

    One keg is all foam

So I have a Keezer that holds three corny kegs. I just put a new keg in there and I force carb it at 30 for about 24 hours. Then I reduce the pressure to serving and this method always seems to work. However with this particular keg I am getting about 80% foam and lots of spitting. I can see...

    Straining hops when kegging

I make alot of hoppy beers, and currently, I just throw loose pellet hops in my fermenter and then when I transfer to a keg I put a mesh hop bag over the tubing that I attach to the outtake on the fermenter. A few problems present themselves, I have to remember to keep the dip tube inside the...

    foam problem with commercial kegs

So I have purchased 2 commercial kegs for my keezer and each one has had the same problem. The first pour I always get a large amount of foam, and there is an area in the beer line that obviously does not have beer in it. This is seen when opening the keezer. The amount of foam decreases as...

Co2 leaking into liquid line with sankey adapters.

I am using one of the kegco Sankey to ball lock adapters for the first time on a keg that I purchased. I see pockets of air in my liquid line and my beer is very foamy. Has anyone had this issue and ideas on how to troubleshoot? Kegco Sankey to Ball Lock Keg Coupler Adapter - Liquid...

    Slow pour from one tap

Hello I have a three tap keezer and all three taps are intertap stainless steel that are approximately a year and a half old I am having a problem where the pour from one tap is much slower than the other taps. They are all hooked up the same regulators so the pressure in each Keg should be...

foamy beer due to moving temp probe

So I had an issue with my inkbird temp controller power….and when I put the probe back its in a different spot. I like where it is now. Problem is, all 3 kegs are having the foamy first beer problem since I moved the probe. How do I fix the foaming issue? do I purge each keg and disconnect...

best way to transport beer on airplane

So I am traveling to the east coast via airplane and I am considering putting some homebrew in my checked baggage. What is the best choice to avoid beer spilling all over inside my suitcase? Use a growler and cap it, or use a bottle with ez-cap seals?

    advantages/disadvantages of kettle mash tun

So I am currently doing all grain brewing and my setup is using the cooler mash tun. I frequently mash in, and leave the house for an hour to go run or run an errand. Or even setup the mash when I’m home for lunch and finish when I’m home from work a few hours later. I can see that the...

    Plastic mash tun getting stained

After about a year of use my plastic cooler mash tun has developed some brown stain due to the mash. I clean it right after by rinsing it off and use some pbw as well. Are these stains pretty normal and are they anything to worry about ? Thanks.

Red tabs on dual body regulator

So I have a dual body regulator as pictured. What is the function of the red tabs above the regulator gauges? They seem to reset the pressure to zero. When should these be used? Thanks for any advice!

    A tale of two kegs

I started using my keezer and after some struggles identifying a leak in the co2, I have it figured out, at least the leak. I used set it and forget it to carbonate the 2 kegs and set it around 11. One of the kegs/taps is pouring nicely. But the other keg is another story. It coughs a lot of...

    Over carbed beer

So I've started using my keezer and I have one beer that is slightly under carbed and the other that has way too much carbonation. The one with lots of carbonation seems to "cough" out a lot of foam whenever I pour a beer. I have a fan in the keezer and it's set at 39 degrees. Any thoughts...

    How store beer ?

I have a keezer which unfortunately can only keep 3 kegs. Let's say I had a 4th keg and I had a batch of beer that was ready to transfer to it. Could I rack the beer to keg like I normally would, fill it with co2 and then store it somewhere in my house until I have room for it in my keezer. It...

    Beer in line

After serving a beer from keezer. Is it normal to have beer left in the lines? I'm using 3/16 tubing that's about 8 feet long. Thanks
