    Sanke & Ball Lock interchangeable connections

    Hi Folks, can someone offer some suggestion for this. I have ball lock and a sanke keg. When the Sanke is empty I would like to easily connect the ball lock and vice versa.

    Pump recommendation

    Black Malt

    I have a question about black malt. I was going to attempt to make a stout. the recipe called for Black Barley, but I only have Black Malt. I do not know anything about black malt and I was wondering if I could use it as a substitute for the black barley? Thanks,

    Yeast starter help

    I made a yeast starter prior to brew day. It was on the stir plate for about 48 hours and I was planning to brew, then life kicked in and I have to postpone. Can I put that starter in the fridge and make another “mini wort” and reuse the yeast? Or is the yeast now dead?

    Power output on mypin pid

    I have a mypin pid and I cannot figure out how to control the power output. On my boil kettle I want to maintain a rolling boil. I believe I need to adjust the power output on the element to around 80%. Can someone help me?

    Secondary Fermentation Life Span

    I was planning to brew this weekend but I really won't be drinking this beer for awhile. I was wondering how long the beer can stay in the secondary fermenter (glass carboy)?

    Electric boil kettle

    I was wanting to turn my boil kettle into an electric kettle but I was wanting some expert advice. I typically brew 5 gallon batches and I was only wanting to use a 2000w 120v element in the kettle. Is this strong enough to boil the wort? I am trying to avoid have to use 240v receptacles.

    Home brew - head

    Beginner kegging question

    Time frame for secondary fermentation

    I was wondering how long I can let the beer in secondary fermentation? I have lots of brew on hand and I am in no rush to bottle or keg this beer. It is currently in a dark, cool room. If I do have a spare keg is it a problem to allow it to sit in the keg for a few months?

    Priming sugar

    How much priming sugar do I add in a 5 gallon batch before bottling? I have brewed a cream ale and a stout. For both I added 3/4 cup of priming sugar to the bottling bucket prior to bottling. It's been several weeks now and they are still flat. Did I not use enough?

    Carbonation problem

    I bottled my beer 3 weeks ago and I have now tried 4 beers and there is no carbonation. Bottling day I boiled 3/4 cup of priming sugar (as per instructions) and two cups of water for 4 mins. I am a new brewer but I do feel like this is not enough sugar. Is there anyway I can correct this?
