    Regulator washer

And I've been using it like this for years. The plumbers tape helped without the washer. At least I now know where the SLOW leak was coming from LOL

    Belgian Tripel Tripel Karmeliet Clone

First of all I'd like to thank everyone who contributed to this post. I can't wait to try this clone on my electric brewery setup. Second, I'd like to give a couple of suggestions if I may. Has anyone thought of making a tea out of the spices and adding at keg/bottle time instead of adding to...

Another hop project - Lake County Florida

Maybe there are some Florida variety of hops, but the ones I used above have all died post 2nd year. They never came back for the third growth year. 2nd year growth started in January and I had full cones (minus lupulin-the most important part!!!) by May. These particular hops don't do so...

    Fruit Beer Raspberry Belgian Ale

I know this is an old thread but what the heck. The reason I had an 8.5% abv was that I forgot to dilute the wort before pitching the yeast. In other words, I forgot to take a specific gravity reading post-boil and pre-fermentation. Whoops! Hopefully that can help out someone else. :rockin:

Why is this so difficult? 1/2" ID female QD barb side

Does anyone know of a source that has stainless steel 1/2" ID (not OD) female quick disconnects on the barb side? It seems that every single source I have found only has 1/2" OD on the barb side.

    Growing Hops in Central Florida

I've been using miracle grow once per week (one big scoop in 2 gallons of water applied to each 30 gallon hop container) then switching to biobloom once I see Spurs (20 ml in 2 gallons of water added to each plant). Here are my second year plants. Just harvested from one last night:

    Growing Hops in Central Florida

I would love to put them in the ground but my soil is extremely sandy. Not sure how they will do. As for the aphids, I've been lucky. Every time I see aphids I also see lady bugs. I too had a centennial that appeared to **** the bed but has recently taken off. And yes....good luck to all...

    Growing Hops in Central Florida

I do have one plant that is very slow out of the gate. Maybe I'll try citrusgain on that one. Thanks for the info man! How are your plants looking this year?

    Growing Hops in Central Florida

Chaos, it looks like you are letting all the bines go up instead of limiting to 2-3 per rope as many people suggest. After seeing your plants I'm not sure I believe in the 'limit' thing. Your plants look awesome!!! It also looks like you are growing on the inside of the screen too no? Also...

Another hop project - Lake County Florida

Ok i figured it out. I basically used the first growth on the one plant that is flowering early. I switched to bio-bloom on that one. I also found out that commercial growers actually clip this early growth so all of their plants "bloom" at the same time.....makes harvesting easier. Hope...
