    Making Wine from Norton Grapes

Hi, I am hoping someone here can help me find a wine making guide. A couple years ago I had found a guide on making wine from Norton grapes. I think it was from a Midwest agricultural org and it was a PDF file. I have plenty of books and guides on making wine but I'm interested in a guide...

    Dry Hopping Contraption

Thanks for the links and information on this. Now I'm torn between making one myself and buying a complete setup for only 70 dollars! I'd love to hear how it works out for you Warrior as I'm buying some other equipment over the next couple months before I buy a Randall.

    Dry Hopping Contraption

Love the name! been saying hopalottomus around the house for an hour now. I was there too on Saturday afternoon, waiting for them to tap it, got some of the first glasses right out of the pitcher they tapped it into at first. I thought the same thing, nothing much at first but I really...

    Dry Hopping Contraption

I was at the Heritage Brewers Festival in St. Louis last weekend and in the home brewers tent they had some contraption filled with hops that beer was forced through from the pressurized keg. The contraption was clear and completely filled with hops. Carbonated beer from the keg was pushed...

    So who's brewing this weekend?

Brewing an Apricot Wheat. This will be my first wheat brewed as I'm not a huge fan of wheat beers but my wife loves them. Kegging a Blonde Ale and transfering an American Brown Ale to Secondary.

    My First Year

Loved the article! I too am in my first year of brewing and can connect with so much of your article that I almost feel I'm reading my own writing. One of the sections I connected too the most was your comments on how important it is to maintain temperature during fermentation and aging. But...

Preparing for an American Brown Ale

Hi Coachlight, I also live near the St. Louis area and was looking up Civil Life American Brown Ale recipes when I came across your post. My wife and I visited last night after tasting their beer for the first time at the Frosty Brewfest in Farmington a few weeks ago. We both fell in love with...

Krausen pushed the top off airlock

Thanks everyone for the responses. I figured I didn't have anything to worry about since the krausen was pushing out so thickly when I found it. I never used a blow off tube until now and for peace of mind I don't think I'll ever go without one again! Pretty excited about this robust porter...
