I guess the problem is that I don't have any kegging equipment at this point in my brewing career, so should I go out and buy something or can I just depress the valve and let it leak out?

I love the effect that oats have in an oatmeal stout and I was wondering whether any of you wonderful people had ever used oats in another style to get that silky mouthfeel. I was juggling the idea of doing an oat mild in my head. I can't wait to hear about all your experiments!

Thanks for the help, everyone! I think I'll just go with an affordable grain mill since the cost isn't all that much more than a new grinder would have been.

I've got a couple of fairly cheap electric spice grinder that I use for spices and coffee. Does anyone think I'd be able to use something like that instead of a grain mill when I switch over to all-grain? EDIT: I should probably mention that I'm working with a one gallon kit right now to make...
