I am going to try marigolds around my plants this year. They are supposed to be natural insect repellent plants. I just started a whole load of marigolds from seed and will be trying them with my tomatoes.
Interesting reads here. Had the og strain back in Dec 2020 and had a fever for a day but everyone around me was sick as can be. The only effect on me was anosmia. It was very strong too. Could not smell a thing. Milk is bad? Could not tell. Something rotted? Never knew.
Smell started returning...
I do 10 to 20 gallon batches and I live in a deregulated state where the electricity rate is through the roof. I only use electric for the rims system. For the big boils I still get the most out of my propane.
Maybe if I could ever afford to cover the whole house with solar panels I might...
Dont mind at all. This shows hothead but I used Omega Hornindal instead and only 2 packs with a starter. I also used 1 oz Cascade Cryo hops for the dry hop along with the regular dry hops.

Voss is good but I like the characteristics of Hornindal especially with Amarillo/Cascade mix. Used it on my clone of Old Horizontal and it was very good. Fermented at about 95° but I think I could have taken it to 100° with even better results.
For me, it is worth it. I like nice clean lagers and having the space to let them settle for a very long time make a huge difference. Sure I give a lot away but for me the greatest joy is to create something that is memorable. This lets me be a whole lot more creative and experimental. I built...
They are considered one of the mild peppers but they also can be used to make chili powder and they are also known as ancho chilis when they are dried. I have several recipes I use them for. You could get a bunch and extract capsacin and do a little refining to get the hot stuff you need. Just...
That is really early. It has been way too cold here for anything like that. You must have gotten a really early start.
I got my Orange Pepperoncinis, Hot Banana, and Jalapeno started last Sunday. This weekend I will be starting about 40 tomato plants to split between myself and father-in-law...
I have both but for speed I prefer my counterflow. The immersion chiller is simple and has benefits but with the counterflow I believe I can chill quicker and have a nice whirpool at the same time. Plus they have stainless counterflows if you are against using copper. Me personally I use...
Nope I only have 3 pumps right now but hope to run 5. I think though as long as I dont try to crash 5 at a time, it will have the capability with all of the output and input barbs.
As long as it does not break down I will be good. It is larger than the Penguin but it is at least tall and not...
If you do have a leak it is not really that bad to fix. I like my Icemaster and as soon as I get my Chapman fermenters finished, the system will work perfectly. Mine has 5 stainless output barbs and 5 stainless return barbs. I have 3 pumps in it right now with enough room for 2 more.
