I love banannas dipped in chocolate so I was wondering if anyone has tried a Hefewisen yeast in a stout and how was it.

I'm kegging a hefe now and saving yeast and wanted to try it in a stout. If you have had luck with this a recipe whould be great.

I guess I was wondering if the hefe yeast would be enough of a bananna taste in the stout or would i need to add bannana/flavoring to secondary? And just will hefe yeast do ok in a stout what is the ABV limit for hefe yeast

Off topic, but I used a Belgian yeast for in a stout and it was pretty good. Not a hefeweizen yeast, but I see how it might work. The belgian stout came out like a foreign export stout and I'll be making it again.
