    Help with my 12% Barleywine

I brewed a 10 gal barleywine Sunday and was shooting for 1.114 and ended up at 1.104 split into 2 carboys. Each carboy received 3 packets of SAF-05 rehydrated yeast and fermentation temps are around 67 degrees (ambient). The beer temps are sitting between 71-72 right now and blowoff activity...

    Drip Irrigation for Hops

Put up a DIY drip irrigation system for my hops that seems to be working great so far. Best part is it only cost around $20! Well, I already had the bucket so that would have added another $10. Here's the whole writeup: http://www.brewgeeks.com/drip-irrigation.html

A BIAB Brewday with lots of pictures

I recently moved to doing 10 gallon batches and I knew it would increase the amount of beer that we have available, but didn't realize how cool it would be to experiment. An example I've done so far is dry hopping one and not the other for a comparison (and it really is pretty amazing how...

How to make a cheap PSI Guage

Hey Guys, Someone asked that I post pics when I made a PSI guage so here you go. Why do you need one? Well, when you store kegs for a period of time, you want to make sure the CO2 in the beer is fully absorbed so an adequate seal is maintained until you are ready to cool it for serving. You...
