Hey Guys,

Who is willing to post their favorite recipe?? One of the great things about homebrewing is we brew whatever we like and change it up constantly, but sometimes you come back to the same reciple again and again because it's so damn tasty!

I want to steal your reciple!! :tank:

Here is one of mine that I call Jurassic Park Amber Ale (I know, make fun... I have a cinema drafthouse thing going on). It's got a great mild bitterness that carries all the way through with a nice malty taste and smell. I used some propegated Bell's Two Hearted Ale yeast but I'm sure any non fruity yeast would be great. You could also dry hop another 2 oz of delta and really send it over the top!

Thanks Yooper...What if you HAD to choose a favorite?

I don't know. I guess it would depend on the mood I was in. Sometimes I love a malty beer like the Dead Guy clone. Sometimes the fizzy yellow beer on a hot day is exactly right. But my favorite beer style is IPA.

6 months in and I've brewed this 3 times .. it's a spotted cow clone ... I love the stuff .. but I love spotted cow so it stands to reason I guess ..

51% American Two-row

no late additions!

hokurtz decoction mash, 90 minute boil (hops only for 60), ferment with lager yeast

lots and lots of patience....

sooooo good.

Lately I've been brewing a SMaSH every other beer. I just use Marris Otter up to a 1.040-1.045 OG, and then use whatever American hop I'm interested in up to 50-60 IBUs (mostly late). So far Chinook and Citra have been the crowd favorites.
