    Beer gun recommendations?

I used to use a picnic tap with a bottling wand stuck in it, and a stopper (sometimes not). Overall, it did fine, but wasn't perfect and often came apart causing a mess. And there was always the fear of oxygen exposure (I did try to purge my bottles first with a hose, but that was a pain too)...

Blichmann Beer Gun V2 vs Last Straw w/ Foamless Finish

    BIAB Robobrew

I’m not concerned with what goes on the fermenter. I’m switching to BIAB in my Robobrew to keep grain out of the BOIL. I don’t want tannins or astringency from the grain to affect taste.

    Beverage Factory

Just found out something huge the other day: 3 pin-lock kegs (the shorter, fatter ones) WILL fit in this kegerator! I’m overjoyed, since I just grabbed 4 pin-lock kegs (already converted to ball) for $20 each.

    BIAB Robobrew

I have not seen that as a “common problem,” and I’ve been on the Robobrew FB group everyday for the last 5 months. I have version 2.1 (or 2.5, whatever you wanna call the second batch of v2 models) and have had no issues with boiling. Works even better with the Robojacket on — very vigorous...

    BIAB Robobrew

I like my Robobrew, but I still get too much loose grain in my boils. I've just ordered a couple of BIABs from Wilser and I'm going to stop using the center pipe and the top screen altogether, and just use the BIAB. I'll report back my results.

Looking for newer Cincinnati water report

Actually, you were replying to me. But what I'm trying to explain is, that is not the water report any brewer would be looking for. It's of no help for building water profiles for brewing. For brewing you need to know the pH, as well as the Calcium, Magnesium, Sodium, Sulfate, Chloride, and...

Looking for newer Cincinnati water report

You're not missing anything. I've seen that report many times. Sorry Buckeye Hydro, that report is near useless for brewers here, other than to help you determine which plant you're being serviced by. However, I just obtained an updated report (10/2017) for Cincinnati (Miller Plant) from a...

Looking for newer Cincinnati water report

Does anyone have newer reports? So far I can only find 2014 numbers from the Cincinnati Miller plant and 2011 numbers from the Cincinnati Bolton plant. (I need both because I sometimes brew up north with my friends in West Chester, and they get their water from Bolton. And make no mistake...

Sorry I did not see this sooner. I love this kegerator and continue to recommend it!

Big Mouth Bubbler- Solution to the bad lid seal problem

This worked great, until I added a blow-off tube. Then the weight of the tube (pulling a bit sideways) pulled the universal lid up one side, and eventually popped it out. I think what I’m going to do is buy the screw-on lids for the Fast Fermenter (which supposedly fit the BMB plastic) and cut...

    Beverage Factory

TL;DR: The Perlick 650SS flow control faucets will fit on the Beverage Factory's homebrew package's upgraded SS triple-tap tower (Kegco brand), and the Beverage Factory's customer service is out of this world. ------ So, I'm only in my first week of having my new Kegco HBK309B-3 kegerator...

    Ale Pail - How Hot?

When googling "hot liquid ale pail" I found this thread at the top of my results. So I thought it would be appropriate for anyone else who found this to have the following info: HDPE or High Density Poly Ethelene plastic has an amazing temperature range, and is considered safe for short...
