    5 gal big enough for primary?

    Hi all. We were going to brew a mid sized Belgian 5-7% and already have our 6gal carboys in use. We want to brew again and only have the 5gal ones to use. Would they have enough head space to use as a primary, or would we loose a lot of beer out the blowoff tubes? ....maybe I should just go out...

    Sanitizer in beer!!!!

    We are big idiots!! Left a gallon of sanitizer in the barrel and then racked beer on top of it. Now we have sanitizer-beer mix. Is it still safe to drink?? Tasted it and it is thin and watery, but not the end of the world. Ideas??

    Use yeast a second time

    People talk about saving yeast from a carboy and re-pitching it in new wort. Is it OK to just leave it in the bottom of the primary and just throw new wort on top of it? If so should I do it immediately, or can I do it in the next day or two? Is this a totally crazy idea? Thanks for all of...
