    Extract kit for my Father-in-Law

    Infection?

    Does this look like an infection? It looks like mold might be floating on the top. This beer has been fermenting for two and a half weeks and was put in the fridge to cold crash on Sunday. Then last night I put it on the counter to settle out before bottling tonight.

    Small Bottles for High Gravity Beer

    I looked on the forum and many people recommend using Malta bottles for high gravity beer. I checked a local store that carries about 7-8 different brands of Malta and each one had twist off caps. Does anyone know a better solution or am I stuck with 12oz bottles of Barley Wine?
