Please comment on my session IPA recipe

Recipe looks good. I would use a british yeast or east coast yeast, just to bring out some more body and maltiness.

    Hybrid Fly Sparge Technique

BierMuncher: I happen to sparge the same way. I was wondering why my attenuation was suddenly lower when I started doing this. You mentioned that your your attenuation is lower with the longer rest time. Can you help me understand why?

Amount of specialty grains in APA recipe

It looks great, as long as you don't forget to add hops and yeast ;-) I personally would add 8 oz or so of Munich Malt. Just my preference.

Recipe Help for a Mole Spiced Beer

Chocolate is not obvious or in your face, but it's there, adding to the overall balance. I might add better quality chocolate next time.

It needs the sweetness from the Crystal40. I initially thought I would have to back sweeten with lactose, but I think its the Crystal 40 that gives the sweetness to help carry the chili and spice flavors. When I racked the beer into secondary, prior to tea bagging the additional chilis, I...

I made a lot of changes to this recipe and finally brewed it. It is perhaps one of my best brews. I wanted to age it for a while, but that doesn't seem possible. Its a favorite with family and friends. I will post recipe and tasting notes tomorrow.

Is Very little Krausen on Starter normal?

I've noticed that some people have huge krausen in their starter flask. I very rarely have more than an inch. Sometimes none. I do notice the color of my wort lighting up, which I assume is because of more yeast population. Is very little krausen normal? I use a stir plate, I follow mrmalty and...

High FG on Last Two Batches

My guess is that your mash temp is to high. You are already mashing at 156. Your thermometer doesn't have to be off by much to explain the lack of fermentables. Other possibility is that you're simply fermenting at too low a temp. Try ramping up to 71 as things stop
