    E brew supply

Thanks Kal. I certainly do appreciate the feedback and suggestions in what to look for. The panel you have was the first one I came across (obviously because you have a superb reputation and have left a major impact on the world of electric brewing). The panel from TheElectricBrewery...

    E brew supply

Thanks Kal. I do understand that costs will change between vendors. I'll keep this in mind when making my final decision. I'll need to do some more research on what parts are being used as you mentioned. With your pre-built panel being almost $700 more than the others and then on top of that...

    E brew supply

Thanks for the replies. I'm thinking of ordering a DIY kit with a couple upgrades from ebrewsupply. I'm glad I found their site.

    E brew supply

Hello. Jumping into this thread since I just came across ebrewsupply. I had previously been looking at TheElectricBrewery site and it seems EBrewSupply prices are substantially lower. At TheElectricBrewery a unassembled kit is going for $1400+, does not include the power cable or temp sensors...

    Homebrewdude's Control Panel

Is it ok to use 40A SSRs when building a 50A panel? I only ask because I've been thinking of going with a 50A so I can scale up if needed. Trying to figure out what I need in parts.

    Weihenstephaner Vitus Recipes Thoughts

I was just curious to see if anyone tested this with lower trub volumes and if that increased the isoamyl acetate.

IPA recipe from my odds and ends - suggestions to tweak?

Hi. I would dry hop if you have enough. Personally I've been getting away from using crystal malt in my IPAs, I think maybe the crystal and melanodian malt may make this a pretty sweet IPA. Just my 2 cents.

    Cleaning Mash Tun?

You're just trying to remove the spent grain after you've got the wort into the kettle? How big is your tun?

    Alternative "Payment" for Beer

So I'm sure this has been discussed a bunch, but I'm wondering; does anyone have other ways to "trade" or get donations for their homebrew? I've been getting a lot of request and people are offering money but I'm trying not to do anything illegal of course. I was thinking about, what if I was...

A Marriage Of Beer And Mead: Braggots

I've been wanting to try one of these for a while. This article was very helpful! Does anyone know of anyone commercially making Braggots? It would be great to try some before making my own.

    First Brew Kettle

I have a spike brewing 15 gallon kettle and it's pretty awesome. All the connectors are tig welded so you don't have to replace o-rings. www.spikebrewing.com

fermenting has stopped what to do

The airlock activity is not going to tell you that it's fermenting. If it's only been 4 days just be patient and wait it out. The only way for sure to know if fermentation has stopped is to take a gravity reading for a few days in a row. If the reading doesn't change then it's done. This...

    Recipe feedback red rye ipa

The only thing I would suggest is maybe not doing the 30 min addition and using that oz after flame out. Amarillo is a great aroma hop and if you're looking for citrus aroma and/or taste you'll want more hops towards the end of the boil.
