Hey, I‘ve decided to make Root Beer from scratch but my recipe doesn’t tell me whether to use dried or fresh wintergreen leaves.

I bought a wintergreen plant and I’m growing it in my garden. Would you recommend drying the leaves before putting it into the RB mixture or just using the fresh ones?

Thx for your help :)

I know nothing about root beer but I used fresh mint in a stout once. If you are boiling at all make sure you add fresh leafy herbs after the wort is cooled otherwise your brew may turn out tasting like collard greens like my stout did.
