Helllo everyone, I hope you find this information useful, I have been looking for the flow rates for 3/16 accu flex bev seal ultra 235 for soda. No one seemed to know what the accurate flow rates of this line were so I spent a day measuring different lengths for kegging soda and pushing it thru a beer tower.

Here is the data.
Kegs are carbonated and pressurized to 23 psi. and at 3.6GV
Top of the Keg to the top of the tower is 22.75"
The product lines inside the beer tower are 5/16" stainless steel tube.
Line used, 3/16" Accuflex Bev-seal ultra 235
Lines were on a horizontal coil laying on the top of the corny kegs
30 oz Amount of fluid measured in XX seconds
cola chilled to 35.6 degrees F

Cola being dispensed from a tower or a faucet should be dispensed at;
Diet Cola at 36 degrees F at a flow rate .7oz/sec
Full flavour cola at 36 deg F at a flow rate of 1.25 oz/sec

These flow rates are for ideal dispensing without/ low amount of foam forming in glass. These rates have been verified by Cornelius.
Faster flow rates will cause cavitation in the line causing excessive foam in the glass.

Maximum flow rates should never exceed
diet cola 1.5 oz/sec
full flavour cola 2oz/sec

Remember the colder the soda allows for a faster pour with less foam
Remember when cold soda hits warm faucets it will foam, the hotter the faucet is the more foam will come out.

The I deal temp for serving soda is 36.5, When measuring the temp of the soda in the glass. pour a glass and wait 10 seconds. place a thermometer in the glass. The temp of the cola should not be above 38 degrees for Pepsi, 40 degrees for coke.

Some people have been asking for some clarification of the numbers because of the formatting or lack there of in the original post. I am including an excel sheet snap shot for all to see. seen as the attachment below. All measurements have been double checked to an accuracy of +-.002 fl oz/sec. using a drip scale timer.

What is meant by mixing sticks are viewed in the photo below. They are used to mix epoxies and are about 5.5" long X about 1/4" dia. and slide into the dip tube in your corney kegs they come out normally by themselves due to the carbonation, however if they do not, when your tank is empty simply place the bung in connect your gas line adjust the pressure to 5psi and unscrew the liquid connector, they will come flying out all at once. They slow the rate of flow considerably thus allowing for a much slower pour. These are advisable to use when you taps do not have flow control. These can also be installed in the tubes of your beer tower if there is insufficient reduction in the flow rates. They are easily removed by blowing air into the tap with the tap open.
