The Epic Cigar/Beer Pairing Discussion Thread!

So the rules are simple.

1. Post what cigar you are currently smoking, along with what you're drinking to compliment it.

2. Explain why it does/doesn't work, tasting notes for both are welcome.

3. No hard liquor/wine (unless home made) please. Hard liquor is a very well established and documented pairing for cigars.

I'd like if this thread can become a comprehensive pairing guide for beer and cigars, there are countless resources for pairing cigars and spirits, I'd like one for beer as well.

I'll start, I'm currently drink a Mission Brewery Heavy Seas Imperial Stout and smoking a La Gloria Cubana Serie N Churchhill.

The stout is big without being in your face, very minimal roastiness. The stick has big notes of coffee and dark cocoa. They Almost have the same flavor notes and I couldn't imagine a more perfect pairing.
