I was recently explaining the process of capping onto foam to a fellow homebrewer the other day. He bottled a couple beers from keg using biermuncher's method but didnt cap on foam. He wants to submit them to an upcoming competition but is now worried about oxidation (comp is 3 weeks away). I suggested maybe uncapping, replace with new crown, tipping on side to induce foam, crimp cap. Any thoughts after a week of already being bottled? The only thing that concerns me is a reduction of carbonation. Thanks!
