When I measure my grains .. say for instance 2lbs of two row . I measure at 2 lbs even but after the grain is milled and none lost it weighs in at 1lb 6oz .... would this difference affect the final gravity or am I missing something ?? should I be using the after results for my total grain added or the earliest weights

Hi there. Did you weigh in the same container both times? If so, I'd say your scale is playing games with you.

I did and checked it on two scales both times.. it came out the relatively same with an exception of 1oz .. the milled grain is lighter and fluffy feeling .. my only thought because it's not as compact as unmilled grain
