I get the point of the dip tube, but as I'm building my first keggle I'm thinking that the rounded bottom looks like a wonderful place for trub and hop sludge to settle so I can drain the clear wort off the top. Wouldn't putting a dip tube suck up all the trub after boil? Especially if you whirlpool and send it all right in the middle?

Anyways I'm sure theres an anseer for this. Everyone seems to have the dip tubes and I'm sure its for a reason. Thanks!

You can cut your diptube to whatever length so you can pipckup (or leave behind) as much as you want.
