My buddy that got me hooked on brewin introduced me to the site. I was a lurker for about a year and decided to join in the fray.

Through Google and I am also looking for forums about beer and that's how I found this forum, so cool!
Thanks, I'm Rebecca.. :)

Every search I made, regardless of if it was for advice on beer, cider or mead, seemed to turn up here. Figured I might as well join and save myself the trouble.

A buddy who brews beer big time told me about it and said I should check it out. I have LOTS of questions after fermenting my second batch of must.

So here is my first question. I just finished primary fermentation on my second batch of must. Both batches had a S.G of .992 and .994 respectively after the recommended seven day fermentation period. Directions say SG should be 1.01 or less. Is this normal and should I add/do anything as I continue the process?

I was feeding my internet addiction with a healthy dose of Google while searching on things to buy as a beginner set up (ok.... ok, and porn). This forum was in the results of every search possible, figured it would be a good place to find help and learn.

Been brewing for a while started kegging and every search had this forum.

As the title says. I think I used to be a member of the forum.. or some forum similar, but that was years ago. Seems very familiar. But anyway, I was looking for any mention of Banana Wine on Google this evening and got directed to someone's post.

I always have words to type for some reason, so I signed on and here I am, racking up the wordcount. If you like, head on over to the intro thread to see what I'm saying of myself. I'm prone to redundancy and repetition, but there's a limit. See ya later. :D

Cheers!

I was thinking about brewing beer after I found out a few of my friends wanted to or were making wine. I am not that big on wine, and beer and I get along well. Then for Christmas I got two Mr. Beer Delux kits with the American Classic Light, I figure I can improve my beer drinking experience more than BMC.

I told a guy I was thinking about getting into home brew. He said to check this out. So here I am.

I was exploring going from extract brewing to all grain. In doing so, I did a google search and found you.

I found you by searching "home brew" in the Apple App Store. Later I found the web site and book marked that.

I have come across post several times when looking at where to find flip top bottles and brewing kombucha and I thought I may aswell sign up.

I googled a few recipes or techniques and homebrewtalk kept coming up so eventually I joined.

The recipes I looked for were
Mead-led to JAOM
SMaSH recipe-led to MOther Fuggle recipe
Hard Cider- led to a bunch of them
Hard Lemonade- led to full hard lemonade recipe

and too many others to count.

Just started homebrewing last October and everytime I would have what I thought was a problem I would Google the issue and Homebrewtalk.com would be the first and most helpful item in the results.
