Still new at brewing and have half dozen brews under my belt, some better than others. I tried an irish red from the sebago brewing company and absolutely loved it. Im looking at making something similar, sweet, malty and smooth. I looked through the grain characteristics and have an idea but still unsure if theres too much of one thing or if two things collide etc. Was hoping to get some more experienced folks to critique this recipe:
6-7 lbs English pale 2 row
3 lbs Vienna malt
1 lb Light Crystal 10
1 lb Caramunich malt
.25 lb Chocolate malt
.25 lb Special roast (50L)
.25 lb Honey malt
Was thinking of Galena hops and/or Mt. Hood. Not a big hop head so an ounce to an ounce and a half would be good.
Any help would be appreciated!
