I'm headed there Monday/Tuesday nights on business... Haven't been there since grad school 10 years ago (wow, just realized I'm old!)

Back then, my focus was on cheap drinks and loose... well, you know. Are there any good taphouses in Boston proper? I might be visiting family near Porter square, so close to the T is preferred.

I think it's probably too much to ask to find Heady Topper?

Sunset bar and grill in Allston is probably the winner, at least for selection

Lord Hobo in Somerville

Row 34- high end but nice quality selections

Meadhall

Hit up Trillium in town or in Canton.

No luck on heady if you didn't set up a trade ahead of time. Only available to the North.

Stoddards in the Downtown Crossing area has good food and beers

Bukowski's is good too.

The Tip Tap room

JM Curley

Deep Ellum, CBC, Lord Hobo. Deep Ellum wins for best beer/cocktail/food combo IMO.
