Drawing a wiring diagram?

What and how do you guys draw a wiring diagram that looks so great. I want to draw one of my controller.

I use Microsoft Visio.

I used OpenOffice Draw with a tight grid showing. Turned out great and helped me find quite a few issues before cutting a single wire.
