Thanks to the ex-wife, I may have trouble on the 22nd. How should that be handled?

c'mon folks, step on up and grab them golden naked oats!6 open splits with 150# to go!
anyone training for the BJCP exam who wants to prep hit me up!
Sorry to hear that. Exes, they have their way...
Can you send someone else to pick it up?
Or maybe someone in the buy can transport your share and hold on to it until you can pick it up from him.
Just let us know, so we can release it to the right person.
[...] Back on topic: Fritz, would you please up my share of some Golden Nakedness to 10#? Feel free to make that 15# if push comes to shove at the end of the split!
Ok, you convinced me. I'll take 5lbs of the Naked Oats.
Cmon guys lets close these splits!
Now those naked ones need a little more TLC: milled rather finely and cooked (cereal mash), don't forget.
Will do.
Anyone between Rockville and Frederick able to help?
There's someone in Point of Rocks, IIRC. I drive through there to/from work every day.

golden naked oats do not need a cereal mash. just crush and add to the regular mash.
OK, I will close the golden naked oats. Give me the last 5#. Cheers!
Someone want to pick up for me? Might be able to help close some splits ... Too bad looks like I missed out on some unclothed oats ... Maybe next time...

A quart is really too small for grains.
I use (and reuse) mostly 1 gallon Hefty freezer bags, with the blue zipper/slider. They are nicely sized for 5# of grain. 1 gallon Ziplocks also hold 5#. Then in turn, I store those in 19 gallon plastic storage totes.
Now I do use quart zipper bags but just for DME. They hold 1.5# comfortably.

I'm in Monrovia if that helps. So let me know and Stonebrewer, Islandlizard who's picking up your grain and we'll make it happen.
Also let me know if you need a stir plate I have those that just need magnets as well. Free

My daughter just gave me her sack of Maris Otter - too busy to brew - so if it's OK I'll drop my order... So just a sack of white wheat for me. If it's a problem I'll keep the MO however.

I am starting a Weyerman Munich split:
25# WEY1017 Weyermann® Light Munich 25 Kg (55 Lb.)
Thank you!
Let's say yes, you'll pick it up. We can work on details in PM. I'm hoping I can work around it and do my own pickup (not that I don't trust anyone. Just trying to make life easy).
Thanks for the offer on the stir plate. I have one that I'm tweaking right now. I think either not enough amps on the power supply or something messed up in the variable speed control (wrong sized rheostat or resistor somewhere).
BUT, I bought a couple of bucks worth of rare earth magnets from Amazon. I think 1/4" diameter, 1/8" thick. If you want, I can share... Four? I think two will work, but four to make sure.
I live in Damascus, and take the Marc train every Monday through Friday out of Germantown. Let me know if it would be easier if I picked up for you. Would be happy to help.
I ride out of Germantown too. Do you take the 5:45?
Hey All. I participated in the group buy back when claphamsa ran it. This will be my first time in the new buy. I would like the following:
1 x RAH1004 Rahr Pale Ale 50 lb
1 x WEY1004 Weyermann® Bohemian Pilsner 25 Kg (55 Lb.)
and I would like to take 10# of the WEY1017 Weyermann® Light Munich 25 Kg (55 Lb.)
ill up my chocolate to 10lbs and close out the munich
This is usually a before noon thing for pickup, right?

Ok looks like Keith will pick up so I'll take some naked oats if still up for grabs, looking at some stouts and porters soon. Also I'll do 10 lbs C40. 5 lbs chocolate malt and 10 lbs dehusked carafa. Also anyone willing to do half a bag of Marris Otter?
Looks like the purchase will be made soon, but if possible, I'm definitely interested in joining the buy.
