For those that bulk age your ciders:

- typically how long

- let em sit or swirl em

- typical room temp

- vessel size(s)

- any other special aging technique(s) you've found to be beneficial?

Cheers!

Let ‘em sit. Dark basement. Typically colder than room temp but at least 50 deg. F. Always in a glass carboy. 3-6 months.

Are u airlocking or capping those carboys?

I leave mine in my garage in the 20L corny keg for a few months after I keg them.

Let em sit (don't bother swirling).

Temp is usually 5-10C in there over winter. During summer, I'll probably keep them in the basement around 17C.

I age them for a year in PET plastic jugs. I leave them in the corner in my living room, covered with old shirts so no light hits them. I check the airlocks every couple months.

How frequently are u releasing excess pressure?
