I had collected some parts and scraps from other projects and decided to put together a chiller. This is the same style as Jaded Brewing makes, but with my own little patents to 'AlfAfy' it.

Check out the pics and tell me what you think. Don't criticize the dirty old water tubes, I upcycled an old pool cleaning tube for this prototype. The beer tubes are 100% new copper tubes and fittings, so no worries regarding sanitization or exposure to unwanted critters.

I'll be giving this thing a vinegar or citric acid bath soon....

Cheers,

I forgot some important info:

The outside tubes are 28mm, the crossover (water) tubes are 18mm, and the beer tubes are 15mm.

Overall dimensions of the assembly are 75cm L X 13.5cm W X 15cm H. Weight = Heavy!:rockin:

I'll be pumping with the NOVAX B 20mm.

Cheers,

looks great. with the end-cap/cross over wort tubes soldered to the rig you can't visually inspect the cleanliness of the internals of the chiller (which is a fairly cool feature imho), but overall I don't know that this is a big deal. I like the wire soldered to the outside of the wort-tube for turbulence in the cold-water -- great idea.
