WLP007 Banana Aroma and Fermentation Question

I just kegged my second batch of the CYBI Arrogant Bastard Clone (90% 2-Row, 10% Special B). The first batch turned out really well and scored a 38 in competition. No problems with that batch. The second batch has been in the keg for a week. I pulled a bit off last night just to see how it's...

Rock Hill / Ft. Mill Homebrewers

I was just wondering if there were any homebrewers here in this area that might want to start a local Homebrew Club. I know there's a good one in Charlotte and a good one in Columbia, but I was thinking about having something local. Just a thought, any interest?

Quick Question On Storing in Secondary

I had a Plae Ale fermenting for 3 weeks, hit terminal gravity, and racked to a secondary so I could use my 6.5 carboy for another batch. My secondary has been in a cool room (around 65) for a week and the beer looks like it's clearing nicely. My S-type airlock is still in but the liquid is on...

    Travel and Beer

I travel a lot in my job. I go to some big cities and to small towns. Sometimes I may be in 3-4 small towns in a week. Being in a big city and finding good beer in the evenings is usually no problem. The smaller towns are a challenge. If I can, I like to find small brewpubs or just places...

    Good Beer in San Diego

I'll be in San Diego the first week of February. I'll be staying right by the convention center and was wondering what were the best pubs in the downtown/gaslamp district. Any ideas?

    Sierra Nevada Torpedo

I did a search on this and not much came up. I was wondering what most of you guys think of this beer. To me, it's one of SN's best beers. I usually find it on sale too! It's 7.2%ABV and nicely hopped for an everyday beer. I love it and would like to try and clone it someday.

First Day of New Year - First Home Brew

What a way to start a year. I brewed my first batch ever of an American Pale Ale, a kit from our LHBS here in Charlotte. Man, this is fun! I really enjoyed the process and seeing it all come together. Everything went really well. The only problem I encountered was one that had not...
