    Help with Auber 2352 PIDs

Hey guys - I am having trouble getting my two PIDS into manual mode. I have set the A/M = 0 in the settings which is for manual mode. But the A-M button does nothing when I press it. I have both hooked to an RTD and they are otherwise working fine in auto mode. Anyone know if there...

    Couple new simple labels...

I keg so I usually only make a label when I get inspired. But when I intend to give some beer away I like to label the bottles.

    Buying a pressure cooker

So I am going to buy a pressure cooker - mainly to make homemade dog food more quickly. But then I figured why not can some wort? That would be perfect for my starters. Anyone have a cooker they recommend? I have never used one.

    Aged Rauchbier discovered...

A bunch of friends get together once a year in Wisconsin (nice central point for everyone all over the US) - this years trip was this past weekend. When I arrived I went to put my beer in the fridge. I move things about and see these two bottles that have no labels in the back. I ask what...

Hey guys I am considering a drive up to Mid Country Malt with my little trailer in tow. Wanted to know if anyone was wanting to go in on a bulk grain buy. I, myself, am looking to get a couple bags of 2-row and a bag of Marris Otter. Also want to split maybe a sack of Crystal 60, and...

    Got a Full House!

Brewed another 10 gallons today. Now that I have managed to achieve 10 gallon batches I think I will have TOO MUCH beer! Below we have 10 gals Irish Red, 10 gals Stout, 5 gals Pale Ale... I have no more fermenters left. :rockin:

Specialty IPA: Black IPA Heavenly Scourge Black IIPA

edit: above OG should show 1.080 Heavenly Scourge Black IPA Imperial Black IPA Beersmith File HERE Taste Notes: A very creamy IPA with trace notes of roast, but checked with a very forward Amarillo and Centennial hops presence. Balanced bitterness and smooth to drink. My most favorite...

Marris Otter for Arrogant Bastard Clone?

Would Marris Otter be too much for an Arrogant Bastard clone? I have only used MO once (an ESB) and it is still in the fermenter... Should I stick to US 2-row for a big pale ale like Arrogant Bastard?

Is Marris Otter worth the extra cost??

My LHBS sells rahr 2-row for $38/bag, but the MO is $61/bag!!! Is it really worth the extra cost to buy MO at that price?? Holy crap. I have never used MO, so don't really know what I'm missing.

Heavenly Scourge Black IPA... latest label

Getting RO water from a dehumidifier?

I was mentioning to a friend over a beer the other night that I am going to start cutting my water with distilled and adding brewing salts. He said - "why don't you collect the water from your dehumidifier?" It sounded so simple I was left speechless... Can it be that simple?? Is there...

When you bottle from the keg/tap...

How high do you fill the bottle? All the way to the top? I am going to use the "low-psi, hose-on-the-tap" method. If I left headspace in the neck of the bottle wouldn't that encourage CO2 to come out of suspension, flattening the beer? thanks Brr

Anyone using Beersmith with Vista 64 bit?

I have a new system that is running Vista64 bit and Beersmith does not run correctly. I get a bunch of error message popups with errors consisting of strange characters. Then my recipes are not there, and the program won't do anything at all. I imagine this is not something I can't fix with...

Flaked Wheat vs Torrefied Wheat for head retentionn

I have been using flaked wheat for head retention, but recently read that torrefied wheat is for the same purpose. Which is best to use? I do have a mill on hand. Is one better than the other, more expensive?
