    Just ordered kegging equipment

I'm about to start kegging, everything is on the way. How long does it take for a beer to not be green in a keg? For ales I usually do a month in primary, a couple weeks in the bottle at room temp, and a couple weeks at around 40F before I start drinking. Also does kegging change the flavor?

    Storing crushed grains

I was getting ready to brew a batch tonight, but just found out I may be leaving town for several weeks (3-5) I don't have a mill so I had it crushed at the hbs. Is there any way I can store it if I do leave that will keep it good enough to use?

    First all grain.

Just did my first all grain last night, decided to keep it simple and do an all grain version of the last extract batch I did. It's a blonde ale. 10lb 2 row, 1lb caramel 20. 1oz williamette 4.2%aa at 60minutes, 1 packet us05 rehydrated. Target mash temp was 155F, heated strike water to 166 but...

    Is it fermentation?

I have an ipa that I brewed 17 days ago, and a blonde that I brewed a week ago both in fermenting buckets. I pulled the ipa out of my fermentation chamber when I put the blonde in, and I pulled the blonde out last night, the plan was to bottle the ipa today and use the bucket for another beer...

Briess pilsen vs golden light dme

Anybody have any flavor comparisons between the two, and I guess pale ale also. I've been choosing based on color, but I'm curious how diffent the flavors are.

    Stout ready to bittle?

I have a stout with an og of 1.049. It's been in the fermenter for 6 days and I haven't had any airlock activity since day 3. I'm going to take a gravity reading a bit later today. If it's done would it be better to age it in the fermenter or bottle it and age in the bottles?

Wort calculator can't enter steeping grains

I just downloaded wort homebrewing calculator for android and have been playing with it, but I can't figure out how to enter steeping grains. I tried entering them as grains in the boil and in the mash, but at least the color didn't come from it. I was copying the recipe that came with my...

    New, looking for recommendations

I just got a starter kit from northern brewer and I'm completely new to home brewing, although I've been wanting to try it for several years. But with my work schedule I'm typically home for a month, and gone for a month. Any suggestions on brews that could be done by a beginner with that kind...
