Found a recipe using a coopers real ale sweet potatoes unread of pumpkin and some spices anybody ever try this and what about the potatoes instead of the pumpkin?
If a recipe calls for a bigger size of brew pot for a boil if you don't have one that big can't you just use what you have and the wort would be the same once you bring the water level up in the fermenter? I've got a recipe that wants me to use a 6.5 gal pot or bigger.
I was in a store the other day and the guy had some good deals on malts,grains but the stuff had been there awhile how long say do malts keep ie chocolate, barely etc.
I just brewed a batch of coopers english bitter been sitting in carboy for 2 days (nothing) yeast are at the bottom not so much as a burp, it did take a few hours for wort to get to pitching temp. Forgot hydrometer reading, what to do.
