    Final gravity assistance

I used a Nottingham Ale yeast. Last time I had used Champagne yeast and well, it tasted like champagne (as I let it ferment completely). Temperature has probably hovered around 63 degrees +/- 2. I initially put the yeast in 4 weeks ago, and racked it into a secondary 20 days in. I...

    Final gravity assistance

I got just over 4 gallons of fresh pressed Fuji apples and added a pound of brown sugar to it. Had an OG of 1.065, using an ale east it's down to about 1.016 but has stalled. Any thoughts from anyone on how to proceed? Should I add additional yeast in or leave it as is? Still tastes like fresh...

Mangrove Jacks Brown Ale Kit - Replace Dextrose with Dark Malt?

So my aunt knows that I brew regularly and decided to get me a kit, and I just had a simple question that I think I know the answer to but wanted to be sure. Its a Mangrove Jacks Brown LME kit and in the instructions it calls for mixing a half gallon of boiling water with 2.2 lbs of dextrose...

Modifying a blonde ale ingredient kit

Unfortunately they don't supply the recipe in the kit, just have everything packaged in the right quantities. Theoretically I could just add some additional darker grains, a second round of hops and some malt and have a completely different kind of beer. Just looking for any tips of what to consider

Modifying a blonde ale ingredient kit

So I was recently gifted a blonde ale ingredient kit, but am a bigger fan of hoppier, stronger beers. Does anyone have any recommendations for ways to manipulate this? I know I can add additional finishing or secondary hops, and probably adds some additional malt or grains, but any tips on what...
