    Beer Smith or Brewersfriend.com?

I was just wondering people's opinions on Beer Smith vs Brewersfriend. I started out with Beer Smith and really like it. Then I used Brewers friend to log recipies and brew sessions. While Brewersfriend gives more detail, Brewhouse efficiency etc. I think Beersmith is more concise at at times...

    Funny Taste

I have brewed four batches so far, a Pale ale, Mexican Cerveza, Octoberfest and a Wheat beer. They all have the same off taste. They are drinkable, well carbonated, look good, nice and clear, but... They all have a similar taste that I think doesn't belong. I can only describe it as a sweet...

First batch has left me with questions?!?!?!

OK, So i brewed my first 5 gallon batch. I did a pretty simple wheat beer using 2 cans of Coopers wheat beer extract. I used my hydrometer for the first time and it looked like 1.04. It was bubbling in 12 hours, brown foam coming out of the airlock within 24 hours and the lid on the fermenter...

    New Home Brewer!

Hey All, I have been brewing with Mr. Beer kit for a couple of months. Wasn't real impressed with the beers. A little light in the flavor department! I just moved up to a five gallon kit and have my first batch ready to bottle! Looking forward to learning a new hobby! Rob
